Internet sensation Rebecca Black has quit high school after growing tired of the taunts of classmates and bullies.
The singer, who became an overnight sensation when she posted a video on youtube.com of herself singing teenage party anthem Friday, is reportedly studying at home.
"When I walk by they'll [classmates] start singing Friday in a really nasally voice," she told US current affairs program Nightline.

"Or, you know, they'll be like, 'Oh hey, Rebecca, guess what day it is?'"
On the decision to remove Rebecca from public school, Black's teacher mother Georgina Marquez said home schooling will shield her daughter from schoolyard bullies and give her more time to focus on her career as "she certainly did not need that kind of pressure."
Rebecca and her song became overnight sensations when the video went viral in March. Friday quickly became a contender for "worst song ever" but Black had the last laugh when the international publicity turned her song into an unlikely hit.
Friday has been featured on an episode of US television show Glee, Katy Perry cast Black in the video for Perry's song Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) and earlier this week Black found herself on stage as an awards presenter at the Teen Choice Awards.
Black addresses her notoriety in her new single My Moment, reminding her "haters" that success has allowed her to do things they've "never dreamed of."
But the general public's antipathy is more easily dismissed than that of her classmates.
"It really sucks being bullied," Black says but the experience has left her all the more determined to succeed.
"I will be able to prove all of these people wrong. I am worth something and I will be big."
